Capodichino to Positano in ninety minutes — or two and a half hours if the coast road is busy. Why the vehicle and the driver matter more here than anywhere else.
Naples Capodichino is the principal arrival point for the Amalfi Coast. The drive to Positano takes ninety minutes in normal conditions, two and a half hours in summer afternoon traffic on the SS163 — the Amalfi coast road itself.
AYR Concierge arranges these transfers with chauffeurs who drive the coast road weekly, know which approach to each hotel works at which hour, and coordinate directly with the hotel's own valet for the final fifty metres — which, on this road, often matter most.
The vehicle is almost always a V-Class: the road is too narrow and the parking too tight for a full sedan to be practical at every hotel. For onward transfers to Capri, the chauffeur delivers to the Sorrento private launch pier and coordinates with the boat operator.
Helicopter transfers from Naples to Positano or Amalfi are also arranged on request, with the chauffeur completing the last leg from the helipad to the hotel.
