Bellagio or Tremezzo: choosing your side of the lake

A short geography for travellers deciding where to stay — and how it changes ground logistics.

Bellagio sits at the centre of the lake, on the promontory between its two southern arms. It is the postcard. Tremezzo, opposite, holds the great lakeside hotels and the most refined villas.

The choice has ground-transport implications. Bellagio is reached either by ferry from Varenna or by a long, slow road from Como. Tremezzo is reached directly by car along the western corniche. AYR Concierge coordinates either approach.
